At my core, I’ve always been a passionate, fun, and dedicated person. I love diving headfirst into new experiences and challenging myself to show up wholeheartedly. From dreaming up your big day with you to breaking it down on the dance floor at your reception, I'm committed to investing in your story and delivering you a gallery of photos that you'll cherish long after the party's over.

Growing up, I was always brimming with big dreams and endless ideas. From aspiring to be a pop star at age five to dreaming of becoming an actress as a teenager, I saw the world as my playground, filled with endless opportunities. Most people expect children to grow out of their naivety, but as I got older and evolved, I only grew more determined to create the life of my dreams.

In 2018, Marlayna Photo started on a borrowed camera and the belief that amidst the ever-changing, I could always find myself where the light poured through – a nod to my childhood hope if you will. I shot my first wedding in 2020 (against all odds) and fell in love with all of the raw emotion and eager anticipation that showed up naturally. I realized very early on it was never about taking pretty photos but truly documenting the moments that mattered.

When it comes to telling your story, I love taking a fly-on-the-wall approach. The gallery you’ll receive should look more like a visual journal entry than a posed photo shoot. With that said, I’ll provide prompts to help you and your loved ones feel more comfortable and I’ll take charge when needed to help us get through photos quickly and efficiently! We’ll talk through expectations ahead of time so things flow effortlessly and you’re able to focus on being present.
